Just Like The Weather
by on January 10, 2000 in Poetry

When I’m stormy I know I
Blow people far away
I carry darkness in my eyes
So that I don’t have to say
Stay away
When I’m overcast or hazy
I’m feeling discontent
Other sources blur my vision
I’m angry and I need to vent

Just like the weather
But there’s no way
To predict what’s next to come
The forecasters don’t know
When I’ll next be filled with sun

When I’m misty I’m mysterious
Aren’t you curious to know?
What goes on inside this head of mine
That I feel shy to show
When I’m party cloudy
I’m feeling quite confused
I almost feel the sun
The clouds are ruining my mood

Just like the weather
But there’s no way
To predict what’s next to come
The forecasters don’t know
And I don’t know
And I get high then I fall so low
I wish you’d stay
But you should go
Because there’s no way to know
When I’ll next be filled with sun

But when I’m filled with sunshine
Everything I do feels right
A better version of myself is now
Coming into light
