Don’t Walk Me Home
by on May 28, 2002 in Poetry

When you said
You’d walk me home
I should have known
Your intentions
Weren’t to keep
Me safe
I gave you
Too much credit
Invited you in
Wanting only
Some easy
Conversation
You cover my mouth
With yours
I know
Where this is going
It’s awkward
Saying no
But I know
I do not want this
You pressure me
Your heavy breath
I’m so
Not into it
I turned you on
Obviously
But then
You turned on me
And acted
Like your hard on
Was my responsibility
